TSUNEISHI LAND & SEA (hereinafter “we”/ “our”/“us”) recognizes the personal information entrusted to us by our customers and business partners (hereinafter “the Customer”) as important, and in compliance with relevant laws and regulations concerning personal information, we have established the following Privacy Policy and work diligently to properly manage and protect personal information.

1. Compliance with Laws, Regulations, and Guidelines
We comply with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI) and related laws, regulations, and guidelines in the handling of personal information.

2. Collection of Personal Information
When collecting personal information, we will clearly state the purpose of its use and collect it through lawful and fair means within the scope necessary to achieve that purpose.

3. Purpose of Use of Personal Information
Personal information entrusted to us by the Customer will be used only for the following purposes:

  1. For reservation and accommodation management
  2. For various arrangements such as sending materials and products, and responding to inquiries
  3. For sending information about events, accommodation plans, etc.
  4. For sales activities via mail, telephone, email, or in person; after-sales service; and marketing activities (such as survey requests)
  5. For marketing analysis to improve our website, services, and products, for use as statistical information that excludes personal information
  6. For providing services to members of membership programs
  7. For providing services to users of our facilities
  8. In other cases that we deem it necessary to contact the Customer
  9. For exercising rights or fulfilling obligations under applicable laws
  10. For handling matters incidental or related to our business operations
  11. For purposes separately disclosed or made public to the Customer

4. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties
We will not provide personal information to third parties except under the following conditions:

  1. When prior consent has been obtained from the individual
  2. When required by law
  3. When necessary to protect a person’s life, body, or property, and it is difficult to obtain the individual’s consent
  4. When particularly necessary for improving public health or promoting the sound upbringing of children, and it is difficult to obtain the individual’s consent
  5. When it is necessary to cooperate with a national or local government agency, or a party entrusted by such an agency, in carrying out affairs prescribed by law, and in which obtaining the individual’s consent may interfere with the execution of those affairs
  6. When disclosure is permitted under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and related laws
  7. When disclosing statistical information about Customers to partner companies (including prospective partners), advertisers, or other third parties for the purpose of explaining our services or other lawful purposes (provided that such statistical information shall not include personal identifiers)

5. Joint Use of Personal Information
We jointly use the personal information of Customers with group companies as follows:

  1. Categories of personal data subject to joint use.
    Name, date of birth, address, telephone number, email address, workplace, gender, transaction details, etc.
  2. Extent of Joint Users
    Our group companies, including TSUNEISHI GROUP CORPORATION
    (collectively, “our Group”).
  3. Purpose of use by joint users
    For fulfilling contracts with the Customer
    For developing and providing better products and services to the Customer
    For the sale of products offered by us or our Group or the smooth provision of services
    For providing the Customer with information about products and services handled by us or our Group

6. Measures for Secure Management
We will implement and adhere to appropriate internal systems and rules to prevent leakage, loss, or damage of personal information and to ensure its proper management.

7. Retention Period of Personal Information
When the legally mandated retention period has passed, or when the personal information is no longer needed to fulfill the purposes described in Section 3, we will promptly delete such information.

8. Management of Contractors Handling Personal Information
We may provide the Customer’s personal information to contractors to the extent necessary to achieve the purposes of use. In such cases, we will appropriately supervise use to ensure confidentiality. When outsourcing the processing of personal information, we will contractually obligate contractors not to leak or re-share such information, and will implement appropriate management.

9. Inquiries Regarding Disclosure, Correction, Suspension of Use, Complaints, Objections, and Withdrawal of Consent for Retained Personal Data
If the Customer wishes to request disclosure, correction, suspension of use, or register complaint regarding their own retained personal data, please send the documents listed under A below to the inquiry contact listed under B. We will respond promptly within a reasonable scope.

  1. A document stating your address, name, occupation, telephone number, email address, and purpose of application
  2. A document confirming your identity (e.g., a copy of a driver’s license or passport)
  3. Postage stamps for the handling fee (please confirm the amount with the Personal Information Inquiry Contact below)

Notes:

  • After confirming the identity of the requester, we will investigate the retained personal data, take necessary action, and send a written response by mail.
  • Personal information collected in connection with disclosure requests will be used only to the extent necessary for processing such requests. Documents received will be retained for an appropriate period and then disposed of.
  • Disclosure will be refused in any of the following circumstances, and the reason for refusal will be notified:
  1. Identity cannot be confirmed
  2. The handling fee has not been paid
  3. The request does not qualify as a disclosure request
  4. There is a risk of harm to the life, body, property, or other rights and interests of the individual or a third party
  5. There is a significant risk of interference with the proper conduct of our business

11. Continuous Improvement of the Personal Information Protection Policy and Internal Rules
We will correct and improve our Personal Information Protection Policy and internal rules in response to changes in laws and the social environment. Any changes will be published on this website.
